FAQS

DO I NEED TO HAVE DANCED PREVIOUSLY?

No! The classes are full of people of varying ages, abilities and backgrounds; it is beginner friendly. Even during the class, the choreography is completely adaptable for any parts that may be too challenging or feel uncomfortable. These are dance classes that are suitable for EVERYONE.

WHAT DANCE STYLE DO WE FOCUS ON IN TUESDAY DANCE?

Lots of styles! I chose one theme/dance style each month to focus on. We spend 4 weeks working on that choreography, dancing to a song we know and love. Styles we've looked at include jazz, commercial, Motown, disco, jive, musical theatre, vogue and more!

HOW DO I BOOK?

There are various way to contact Danski to book onto our classes. We take most of our bookings via Facebook messenger, however you can also email, or fill in our contact form on the website. Whatever suits you! Once we have been contacted, you'll be sent all the information of how to get booked onto our classes.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO DANSKI CLASS?

Anything you feel comfortable and can move in. I recommend something like tracksuit bottoms/leggings, t-shirt and trainers. Oh...and bring some water for hydration!

For ballet and tap, the appropriate shoes are recommended but by no means essential! Thick, warm socks for ballet and brogues for tap will work wonders in the meantime.

HOW MUCH ARE DANSKI CLASSES?

It is absolutely essential at Danski that our classes remain an affordable price, to make the class accessible for everyone.

Bookings for classes are usually taken in 4 week blocks, which is priced at £20 for 4 classes i.e. £5 per class. Individual classes, not in monthly blocks, are priced at £6 per class.

WHAT IF I HAVE DANCED BEFORE, ARE THESE CLASSES STILL FOR ME?

Yes absolutely! Coming back to dancing is all about bringing back that muscle memory you may have lost and building back up your confidence. And like how the choreography can be adapted to be made simpler, it can also be adapted to be made more challenging, if needed!

There are lots of students at Danski who previously danced for years and have picked dance back up later in life. Beginner doesn't mean boring! Beginner means a supportive environment, wherever your dance journey is at.
